Why become a Volunteer Member?

Help build community access to affordable, locally-grown, fresh food! More importantly, build your own health. All Volunteers will recieve membership in good standing credits. If you volunteer 6 hrs per month (minimum), you'll receive 1 credit which is equivalent to 1 month of membership benefits.

What kind of Volunteers do we need?

Shop Attendance Volunteers: Tuesday mornings & afternoons; Thursday afternoons; & Saturday afternoons working alongside a board member to process orders for drop off and pick ups. It could be as little as two hours at a time or more if you like. All hours can be logged on the website and go towards your Volunteer Membership.

Website Technician: To help with updates to our website, order list, etc.

Volunteer Membership Credits & Your Benefits

Every volunteer is a Member, and has the ability to become a member in "good standing."  All Volunteers will earn one membership credit (good for one month) for each 6 hours volunteered for the F.R.E.S.H. Food Hub. Good standing members have added benefits, including:

  • Bulk foods, affordable, locally-grown, fresh produce & local arts & crafts at 10% off retail prices
  • Advance notice & discounts for community events/workshops
  • Voting privileges & organizational influence 
  • Access to HUB rental fleet of books & food preservation equipment (dehyrator, pressure cooker, etc.)
  • Entry into quarterly drawings for handcrafts, certificates & specialty item gifts
