Providing Norwood with access to . Food
The Fresh Foundation absorbed the Norwood Food Pantry in Norwood, Colorado in September 2023. With partnerships, independent grants, and community donations, the Fresh Foundation is able to run the pantry and additional food security branches of the pantry.
Clients can expect to see local fresh produce and (often) local meats or eggs at distributions. We also always have other fresh, frozen, and shelf-stable foods provided in partnership with Food Bank of the Rockies.

The Fresh Foundation is grateful for those individuals and organizations that worked with us to keep the pantry afloat in fall 2023 and continue to support the Norwood Food Pantry and its expanded programming.
Partner pantry located in Tellruide that donates to our pantry monthly and also coodinates food sharing with us. Angel Baskets is an essential contributor to our program.
The Foundation has been an ongoing supporter of the Hub for many years and took a strong interest in seeing the continued success of the pantry during its transition. They are also key funding supporters of the Totes for Hope program we run, providing admin and local food funding. We thank April Montgomery for being a long time local food advocate.
As our regional food bank panter, FBR has been essential for our operations. They also took us under the wing and provided much-needed training during the pantry transition in September 2023.
San Miguel County has been an annual funder of the pantry through their non-profit grant funding. Anne Brown took a strong leadership role during the transition in fall 2023; we are forever grateful for her contributions.
The Town of Norwood supports the pantry with an annual contribution. We also work with them to support the Evergreen senior boxes provided at Town Hall. We thank Candy Mehann for the time she gave helping us during the transition, and being an advocate for food equality in the community.
The Norwood School welcomed the pantry into the annex building in October 2023. We work with the school to provide kids food bags (aka Totes for Hope) weekly. We also work with the school lunch staff to donate food as needed. A special thank you to Sarah Franklin for distributing the ‘Totes”!! A huge thank you to the Norwood School for housing us!
